The difference between Swiss lace and Monofilament wigs is mainly in the cap construction and how natural each part looks.

Swiss Lace Wig

  • Very thin lace at the front
  • Gives you that "melted", invisible hairline
  • Best for styling off the face
  • More delicate, so it needs a bit more care

A great example of this is our Toria wig.

Monofilament Wig

  • Has a special mesh top where each hair is tied one by one
  • Creates a very natural-looking scalp at the part
  • The hair placement (knotting) is more detailed and structured, which is why it often feels more premium
  • Stronger and more durable for everyday wear

A great example of this is our Gina wig

Why the price can differ: Monofilament wigs usually cost more becausethe hand-tying process across the cap is more time-consuming and precise, and the construction is more durable.

Simple way to choose:

  • Want the most natural hairline? → Go with Swiss Lace
  • Want a realistic scalp and a longer-lasting everyday wig? → Go with Monofilament
